Business Development Manager

We are pleased to be working with a well-established lender, on their search for an experienced Mortgage BDM.

The primary role of the BDM is to identify, engage and convert potential new business opportunities, whilst maintaining and developing existing business relationships and a strong pipeline.

Working alongside the National Account Managers you will also be responsible for delivering the company’s distribution strategy.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Following up new and existing business opportunities 

  • To develop, set and achieve sales targets  

  • Creation of a quarterly business plan  

  • Support the Head of Sales in the development of the short, medium and long-term sales strategy 

  • To identify, convert and manage the best opportunities on territory  

  • Data input, administration, trend and lead analysis 

  • Production of MI and reports  

  • Promote existing and new product and criteria developments  

  • To build meaningful relationships with all accounts  

  • First point of contact for all customer queries and acting as the voice of the customer 

  • To lead in new business pitches (including Roadshows and sales meetings)  


Skills and Experience 

  • We are looking for someone with solid experience of working within an Intermediary sales team  

  • Excellent knowledge of the broker market  

  • Highly motivated with a proven record of identifying sales opportunities  

  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed targets 

  • A good understanding of how to create marketing opportunities 

  • Excellent communication, report and presentation skills 

  • Experience of Microsoft Office products is essential
