About the Role

We are very pleased to be working with a Kent-based lender, who are growing rapidly and are therefore looking for a Sales Assistant to join the business.

The ideal candidate will support the back office functions of the Sales team, to process complex BTL and commercial mortgage applications introduced by external business relationships with quality Brokers, Clubs and Networks.

Responsibilities:
• To provide office administration support to the team of field-based BDM’s and the Sales Team Leader with processing all mortgage applications
• To ensure timely, accurate and appropriate responses to all telephone calls/enquiries
• To maintain relationships with external introducers
• Liaising with multiple internal departments on varying matters
• Duties will include extracting information and reporting from the in-house CRM system, updating and collating information across multiple departments, liaising with external information systems, and registering brokerages and individuals.
• Learn from the ground up how a mortgage application travels through to completion, paying attention to issues that can arise and how to overcome them.
• Reviewing mortgage applications
• Attend in-house training sessions with multiple departments and different 3rd party IT programs.

Requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Intermediate IT skills, Excel and Word

  • Knowledge of CRM advantageous

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Being able to work as part of a team

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Ability to work independently when required

  • Confident telephone manner

  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
